Savute Safari Lodge

Savute Safari Lodge has a superb location on the banks of the Savute Channel, in the southern reaches of the Chobe National Park. This is a traditional lodge offering a fantastic safari experience. Smart but unpretentious and extremely comfortable, the lodge has a friendly atmosphere and ideal location for exploring the Savute Marshes. Sink into one of the numerous comfortable leather, wood or wicker sofas in the lounge or sip a cocktail in the stylish bar. Savute Safari Lodge offers a shaded viewing deck, an al fresco dining area and swimming pool with spectacular pool loungers – ideal for watching the varied wildlife – including the resident Elephants – as they make their way to the Channel to drink, bathe and play.
Savute boasts the second-largest summer Zebra migration in Africa; its timing is determined by the rains, but usually occurs between November and December and again between February and April, when the Zebras move from the rivers in the north in search of the rain-ripe grasslands and full waterholes in the southwest of the park. The migration is always followed by large numbers of predators – the Zebra migration is a must for visitors.

Camp Okavango

Camp Okavango offers some of the most beautiful and elegant Okavango accommodation available in this pristine region of the Delta, dominated by permanent channels and shallow floodplains, making activities primarily water focused. There is no vehicle traffic to disturb the peace, from traditional mokoro rides to safari boats, bush walks, optional helicopter rides and fishing (strictly catch and release). Hidden amongst beautiful ancient mangosteen trees, the main area comprises a network of interconnected walkways and decks linking two lounge areas, a dining room, a curio shop, small library area and self-service bar. Another wooden walkway leads to a very cool infinity pool right on the edge of the swamp, with plenty of comfortable sun-loungers under a shade-giving thatched lapa. For the suites, these elegantly designed havens are constructed from natural timber blending subtly into the surrounding woodlands, with glass doors that fold away in front of both the bed and a separate lounge area, creating an open space, extending out onto the private deck, which offers uninterrupted views of the natural surrounds.
