Botswana is a land-locked country dominated in geographical terms by the Kalahari Desert - a sand-filled basin averaging 1,100 metres above sea level Botswana is bordered by Zambia and Zimbabwe to the northeast, Namibia to the north and west, and South Africa to the south and southeast. The more popular destinations in Botswana includes Chobe National Park, Okavango Delta as well as the Kalahari desert and the Makgadikgadi  Pans. The Okavango is the largest inland delta system in the world a bit smaller than Isreal or half of Switzerland. The northeastern region of the Kalahari Basin contains the Makgadikgadi Pans - an extensive network of salt pans and ephemeral lakes. Destinations ‐ Botswana

  • Chobe Game Reserve

Essentially Chobe is all about Elephants. Lots of them. And the jury seems to be out on exactly how many there are. We have always said there are approximately 55 000 elephant in Chobe National Park, but some sources seem to indicate this is as high as 120,000.
  • The Okavango Delta

Go on a safari to the Okavango Delta and experience an Africa that is untamed, wild and very real. The Okavango Delta offers a variety of lodges and camps to choose from, from luxury tented camp where you can ride on Elephants , to more simple camps where you concentrate on walking and water safaris.
  • Savute & Linyanti

The Savute and Linyanti area is situated to the north of the Okavango Delta and also borders on the Chobe National Park. This remote area is also the site of the annual zebra migration and consists of swamp and grasslands reminiscent of the Serengeti and vast tracts of sandy plains.
  • Makgadikgadi Pans

Imagine – if you will – an area the size of Portugal, largely uninhabited by humans. Its stark, flat, featureless terrain stretches – it would seem – to eternity, meeting and fusing with a milky-blue horizon. This is the Makgadikgadi – an area of 12 000 sq kms, part of the Kalahari Basin, yet unique to it – one of the largest salt pans in the world.
  • The Kalahari

The Central Kalahari Game Reserve is a vast flat expanse of scrub-covered fossil dunes between ancient river valleys it has a fascinating spectrum of very different plants and animals. Our portfolio of luxury lodges in the central Kalahari will allow you to experience this vast landscape and unique area first hand.
