What our clients say about us

At Pro Golf Safaris we take what our clients have to say to heart. It is important for us to receive feedback from our clients, good or bad, on our service levels as well as the overall experience they had during their golf travels to Africa. For many of our clients, Africa is a true "Bucket list" item and many clients will only travel to Africa once in their lifetime - or so we thought - many of our clients have already returned! All of our consultants are personally involved in the booking process, from the time that we recieve the request, right through to the execution when the client return to his / home country.

Here is what some of our clients had to say:

Jake and I wanted to send you a detailed e-mail expressing how much we truly appreciated all of the assistance, support, guidance and preparation you provided us to make this trip outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised with the landscapes and weather. It felt and looked like San Diego California to both of us. We had to keep reminding ourselves that we are in S. Africa! The manner in which you set -up the ORDER of the golf courses was perfect!  The three courses were simply fantastic! As for the Fancourt, we loved it!  Everyone was so kind, helpful and welcoming. The times and dates you set-up our massages was perfect too.  As for the food……again, fantastic!

The Cape Grace was fantastic……service as if it was the Ritz Carlton. Welcoming and immense attention to detail. We had such a nice balance of experiencing the city, the Peninsula and the mountain. The private tour was amazing.  The tour guide was impressively knowledgeable and the driver was SO kind.  We always felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire experience. We loved the Winelands. It was a cross between Napa Valley in California and Tuscany in Italy. We loved the Mont Rochelle. They were private, secluded and so luxurious. The food, people and experience was fantastic! Their and your attention to detail was so impressive and appreciated.

Sabi Sand: THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you for setting us straight and changing the original agenda we had with the previous company to this location for safari instead. Lion Sands River Lodge was spectacular, the experience was amazing and the food again was fantastic!  We saw the big 5 within only 2 safari drives…..less than 24 hours! We absolutely loved the experience. Thank you again from the bottom of hearts.  You took on this itinerary as if you knew us and had a vested interest in our trip and experience. We are extremely thankful for all you did to make this trip so memorable in our lives. We have already shared your information with a friend who is interested in going to S. Africa in the next year.

I want to compliment you and your team on  providing a vacation experience for Tracey and I that was exactly as I had envisioned. (except for the pool but it allowed us to get some fresh air as we walked around the building following our nightcap at the bar) The transportation was flawless, Sabi Sabi was top notch:  The experience, accommodations,  guides , safari, and service were excellent, and the  food,  incredible. The rooms at the Cape Grace were perfect and Andrew is the best tour guide I have ever met. I truly appreciate your providing wine and flowers as well as accommodating my son on the vineyard tour. What a wonderful trip!  I have already given your name to 3 of my friends and I know they will contact you should they ever travel to Cape town I hope to return in the future  and I will surely contact you as well. Thanks again

Wow – What a wonderful trip to South Africa – Well Done!
From Fancourt to Cape Town to wine tasting and the great finish at Sabi Sabi.  What a fantastic trip you organised. Thank you.  It was great to be a part of “The Cliffs” group and to join Mike and Katie Williams. Wanted to tell you what a great help Michelle Goosen was and our guide/”minder” Andrew Poole was nonpareil.  He provided great insights into South Africa… its history, politics and my introduction to Afrikaans!  Please give him my best regards.  He is a great assist to Pro Golf Safaris. I am in “love” with South Africa and look forward to visiting again. You run a great company.  The trip was flawless. Totsiens.

Just a quick note to thank you for all your help during our recent trip to South Africa with the Anderson group. We had a wonderful time and were especially impressed by the great accommodations and golf courses. Please pass on our thanks to Sandra as well.  She was very helpful on both occasions we were in Johannesburg and kindly offered more help in making restaurant reservations, etc.  While the City Lodge Hotel at Johannesburg was perfectly adequate to our purpose the Intercontinental was certainly more than a cut above in terms of facilities and service. We stayed there for a night because our KLM flight to Amsterdam was cancelled. When it came time for us to check-in the hotel staff took our multitude of bags all the way to the check-in for us. Apart from the flight cancellation the only downer we had was the loss of one of my suit-cases off the van that took us from the airport to Lukimbi, but we have already spoken about that. All in all, it was a great experience. Thanks again.

As I respond to your email, I am sitting in the office of our home and both Jerry and I said earlier this evening, we could've stayed longer in South Africa. It is an amazing, beautiful and 'oh so contraire' to what we thought South Africa would look like and be!!! Our experience from the moment we landed in Johannesburg and met with Sandra was the beginning of a very well planned, executed itinerary. The room for our layover was a very nice and thoughtful gesture on the part of Pro Golf Safaris - we totally appreciated the amenities and having a place to 'chill'.

Upon arriving in George, we were beset by the countryside and the serenity it showed. Fancourt is a beautiful and very pleasant place to be in - for the scenery, staff, golf, food and overall friendliness of all who work there (not all in that order!). The attention and sincere concern of the staff for John Petillo's injury during and afterwards was greatly appreciated by all of us! John is planning on seeing his physician November 11 to look at the stitches. It was hard to leave Fancourt, yet, we did; and our arrival in Capetown being met by Ricardo was a very welcome and warm experience! Ricardo proved to be the best driver we have had on vacation and spending time with him in the van we got to learn about him and his family, which we truly enjoy! Rod Prodgers, the guide, is an absolute goal mine of information and he was so much fun to be with, listening to his wealth of information of the area. We also learned a little about Rod and his kids ( we always try to get to know people that are assigned to us). We miss his enthusiasm about where he lives!! Leaving Capetown was not easy, but we did, since we knew we were going on another vacation!

Upon arriving in Mpumalanga airport, we met our driver, Gerald from ECoaches and he was also very professional, courteous and a pleasant person to be with on the 2 hour drive to Lukimbi!  The individual lodges are very nicely designed and offer serenity, peacefulness and an opportunity to relax and enjoy nature. We took advantage of every safari and only missed one, when we had a tee time at Leopard's Creek ( we did a total of 7 safaris and very glad we were able to make  them!) We were so glad we did not miss another safari, since it offered an opportunity to see many animals in their habitat, and learn about their habits from our Ranger, Travis, and Tracker, James. Both individuals were very knowledgeable and shared with us all they knew. Both were very attentive when we had any questions.  Cocktails in the bush cannot be repeated anywhere! That will be one of many memories we will hold dearly as part of our experience of a lifetime. The entire trip was one that we never would've thought we would do and having won the trip I am so glad to have had the opportunity of a lifetime to visit South Africa. We would love to be your ambassadors to anyone who is considering planning a trip with your organization. Sorry for being so verbose, but we are still very excited and happy about our trip that I feel I cannot say enough! I mentioned this to Michele Goosen who called us on our last day at Lukimbi and I'm sure I 'talked her ear off'  with my enthusiasm for the trip and overall feeling of having experienced a once in a lifetime vacation.

We hope you come back to PGA National and look forward to seeing you!

I have spent a number of years now in the UK and one thing you notice is the service is way better in Europe than South Africa BUT Pro Golf Safaris has been the exception for me. Your service and attention to detail have been second to none. Nothing was a problem and the detail was always given the focus it needed for a group of this size. I know how much of a pain I was with constant emails and calls confirming things but you were always there to provide input or do the investigation to ensure we had a package in place that was very detailed to ensure a group of 32 people did not need to worry about any extra admin. I have been very impressed with the service and have shared your details with a number of friends and family.

I can't say enough about Stephen who drove us to Pecanwood and Sun City. Polite, accommodating and very friendly not to mention always on time!

Staff were very friendly and helpful
Service is very slow, it always seemed to take as long to pay for a bill as it took to order and receive the food or drinks
Caddies were amazing and great value with their knowledge of the course and the bush

After all the negative feedback leading into the trip they were amazing, great hospitality and the course was great and in good condition.

Great evening and the food was excellent

Overall the trip was fantastic and we have memories for a lifetime. Again just want to say thank you very much, it has been great working with you and your team. You guys have something special and your service is amazing with a personal touch, never did I feel like a 'golf booking' but rather enjoyed the personal attention you provide.

Last year, PGA National & Pro Golf Africa Safaris partnered in the promotion of golf and safari vacations to South Africa. A free vacation was offered which Marylou and I won. We took that vacation between October 26, 2015 and November 10, 2015. Another PGA couple, John and Sharyn Petillo, traveled with us.

The purpose of this email is to tell you that your partners, ProGolf Africa Safaris and their Director, Carl Reinders, are absolutely the best, the crème de la crème, the ultimate in travel planning. They advertise their passion for golf and their country. They followed through by creating a memorable experience by paying attention to every detail and the quality of all their consultants. From the moment we landed and gathered our luggage in Johannesburg to the time we returned from our trip home we were handled by professional and very pleasant people

We spent 4 days in George, SA at the Fancourt Golf Resort & Spa. We played golf 3 days while we were there including a round on the number "1" rated course (The Links) in all of South Africa.

We then spent 4 more days in Cape Town at the "One and Only Hotel", a 5-star hotel. We played another round of golf at Erinvale golf club, did a full day tour to Cape Point, a tour of the Cape Winelands including a private tasting at Ernie Els Wines, and a trip to the top of Table Mountain. Our tour guide, Rod Prodgers, was so knowledgable about Cape Town and the surrounding area that spending 2 days with him was very informative. Marylou referred him to 2 couples we met on safari. Rod and the couples connected and they enjoyed their tour with him.

The final 4 days were spent at Lukimbi Safari Lodge in the Kruger National Park. Another round of golf was included there at Leopards Creek Golf Club (We were told while we were there that it was the toughest course to get on in all of South Africa). At the lodge there were (2) game drives every day. One at 5:30am and an afternoon drive at 4:30pm. We honestly wondered how many of these game drives we would do. In fact, the only one we missed was the morning drive the day we played golf. They were spectacular. The animals were unbelievable. There were 16 individual lodges at Lukimbi, so a maximum of 32 guests. There were 48 employees for those 32 guests, the service was perfect and meals were sumptuous. The trip was a one of a lifetime.

In the event that PGA National has the opportunity to host ProGolf Africa Safaris in the future, we would wholeheartedly support the arrangement so that other members would have an experience like we did.

Home safely thanks. Played golf yesterday in 4 degrees C with a very chilling wind and almost phoned you afterwards to ask if we could come back! We are all very grateful to you for making such perfect arrangements for us with very limited notice and would certainly come back to you for a future trip. All the accommodations were first class, and the courses were in great shape, though inevitably I am carrying a few extra pounds as a result of the excellent food and wine. Avis was the only minor hiccough, charging us both for an extra day when we returned on Sunday, but I couldn't be bothered to argue with them about it. I always feel slightly saddened that we spend so much time playing golf and never really venture much off the beaten trail. There is so much on offer to see and do. We very much look forward to the next time. Best wishes

The Cape Grace was perfectly located and had excellent service.  The Chobe Game Lodge was very efficiently run – and they had a lovely romantic dinner set up for us on our last night there. Lukimbi Safari Lodge felt intimate enough that you could get to know some of the other guests over drinks or on the game drives. The Jack Hanna Cottage in Rwanda was a real treat – a whole house to ourselves!  I wish we had more time to enjoy the Peech Hotel and the Serena Kigali.  The tour guides and rangers all were excellent!  We had very different types of “animal encounters” at Kruger (up close and personal and “off road”), Chobe (we were restricted to the regular park roads and the river, but there was plenty to see) and the Zambezi River cruise (and, of course, Rwanda gorillas), which was a real plus.  If all of the safaris had been run exactly the same, I think it could have gotten “routine” which luckily it was not. We enjoyed having a diversity of experiences. All our travel arrangements ran smoothly and effortlessly. You could not have done anything more to further enrich or enhance your African experience. The gorillas were wonderful!  I’m glad you recommended 2 days of trekking instead of 1.  We had 2 completely different experiences (with 2 different groups of gorillas as well), which really enhanced our understanding of the environment/activities, etc. of these incredible animals.  It was an incredible experience. Thanks so much!
